In collaboration with the Institute of Materials Technology in Kassel, I developed the memory hinge, a composite material that combines a polymer fleece with natural wood panels. This lampshade can open itself through the force of its material.
The material has been patented internationally and was nominated for the GiNo Innovation Award. The luminaire has received three international design awards.
